How the Internet Changes Our Lives

If you believe the reports, millions of people in the U.S. are turning to Internet Technology to find work, but they’re not finding it. There are lots of reasons for this, including bad advice and even fraud.

An extreme example is internet marketing. Many people have gotten into it, only to realize that it’s not what they expected. No matter what the hype, it’s easy to see why.

But what about the other effects of the Internet on our Lives? What are the long term implications of this phenomenon?

First, imagine if everyone did all of their online discussions on the web instead of through bulletin boards or talk radio? What if everyone emailed each other instead of keeping phone calls?

With the web, everyone has the ability to communicate with anyone else on the planet, literally, anywhere in the world. It’s almost an instant communication and information sharing experience. That’s very empowering.

Of course, the new-age Internet also comes with a downside. If you want to interact with people and get your opinion heard, there’s no substitute for face-to-face meetings.

People are less likely to interact with someone they don’t see. They won’t do things like go out to lunch, join in on a group discussion or do business with someone they don’t know. Social interaction is almost entirely eliminated by the Internet.

How Internet Changes Our Lives. What does this mean? Well, some have argued that the Internet simply lacks the ability to build social and community ties like traditional media, and thus, we don’t enjoy the same benefits that many other countries do.

But others have argued that these negative impacts on our lives are much more insidious. For instance, one common argument is that the Internet makes people unappreciative of each other’s personal and professional connections. When you don’t see people anymore, you don’t have that personal connection, you just see a bunch of strangers in cyberspace.

Once you can’t get close to people anymore, you have a problem. This is true especially if you run a small business where you need to interact with your customers on a regular basis. Your main asset is your customer, and if you don’t have them in the flesh, how can you ever get to know them?

Internet has also been accused of causing people to lose their jobs, which is especially sad when your industry is something that people are looking for. This is especially true if your industry is essential. Not everyone is going to be satisfied with your product or service, so unless you build a customer base that’s huge, there’s no way to grow the business.

This is why so many people are turning to the web for jobs and business. So, how does the Internet Change Our Lives?
